There is that running joke about how the gym is packed with people the first two weeks of the year and then by mid-February, the place starts to get empty again. It makes sense when you think about it. You hit the first couple of bumps on those great New Year goals and it is easy to get sidetracked. The next thing you know, you are looking for a Halloween costume, one more year with a list of things you didn’t even really attempt to tackle.
I have never celebrated Chinese New Year before, but I think I may start. Anything that brings back focus, gets you back on track, causes you to stop wallowing and gets you moving is a good thing. An added bonus is I am not fond of Chinese food, so me I will not get derailed by yet another day that train wrecks me trying to get back into the jeans I wore when we did our last L.A. Lyon video.
So Happy New Year. Part two. For all of us that need a little push over the bumps.
