Found these great Tommy Hilfiger tropical print capris at the Goodwill in Glendale today. Beige with green, orange and a touch of purple, these are going to go great wtih almost everything in my closet. Top it off, they are in mint condition and I am not sure anyone ever even wore them.The best news? $6.49, less than I paid for my lunch!
GREAT PURSES FOR CHRISTMAS
My extremely creative cousin is so far ahead of the holiday season, that my Christmas gifts arrived before Thanksgiving! She obviously got all the time management skills in the family.The first gift was another great Tyler Rodan, my personal favorite purses! Fantastic color and a ton of great pockets to try to keep me as organized as she obviously is!
Great tote bag with a turquoise, black and white color scheme. These kinds of totes have so many great uses, but believe it or not, this has become my new gym tote. I spend a lot of time going in and out of the gym and decided that it was time to carry my shoes and towel in something that was more attractive than yet another vinyl bag with the Nike symbol on it. Even when you are going to sweat, it never hurts to feel fashionable! Kudos to my cuz for her great gift choices!
SHOPPING FINDS OF THE WEEK
A recent trip to Ross yielded a couple of great finds!I can't wait for the weather to get a little cooler so I can wear this ivory sweatshirt with black studded shoulders and the rock n roll lips. Originally $26.00, Ross had it for $13.99
Tyler Rodan purses are my new favorites! I am really over having just black and besides, the brighter the colors, the easier it is for me to find my purse on stage at a gig! This one was originally $79.00, but it was marked down on clearance at Ross for $28.99. I know it has that summer look, but in So Cal, do we really have to have a winter mentality in October when we are still running the air conditioning at least two days a week?

POPPIN SOME TAGS WITH $15.00 IN MY POCKET
Unlike the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis song, I only had $15.00 in my pocket, not $20.00. Still, after a long hard week of work, I needed a little shopping therapy. So it was off to the Goodwill in Glendale for a little treasure hunting!
My first find was a tan waffle weave short sleeve shirt that will be perfect for our California fall, when we can still expect temperatures in the 80s! My work enviroment is business casual every day, not just Fridays, so I will be pairing this with some casual black summer pants or jeans. Total cost? $5.99!
Then it was off to the home area. I found this great leather looking tray that can be used for candles, or on an ottoman for drinks and snacks. Set me back $2.99, about what I spend every day at Starbucks!
Finally, a lamp shade. I love changing out lamp shades because they are an easy and inexpensive way to bring a different look and feel to a room. I absolutely love the texture and shape on this one, but I am not so sure about the color, or rather lack of. I have been looking for another spray paint project so stay tuned! For now, I have invested $4.99.
Shopping therapy done and the house payment still intact!

Another fun weekend of making music with my band L.A. Lyon at The Starting Gate in Los Alamitos! Always great to party with all the regulars and meet some new faces. As always, the ladies were sporting hot shoes and some great fashion.
Hot black pumps, a black lace top and black straight leg pants with a side zipper say Rock and Roll forever!
This dress with the cut out shoulders would be great in any color, but this turquoise makes it a real stand out!
CAR PAYMENT, RENT OR SKIRT?
I recently went to another fashion/living blog (no names because I don't want to be a hater!) and saw a post with the outfit of the week. One of the components of the outfit was a skirt that the author said she paid $525 for. I had to look twice because I couldn't believe it! Really? Unless you are in the Beyonce salary range, there is no excuse for paying for any purse or piece of clothing that is possibly more than your rent or your car payment. Not when there are too many great looks out there for next to nothing! I caught these great looking nylons this weekend on a lady at The Blarney Stone in Fountain Valley where my band L.A. Lyon had a gig this weekend. Purchased at Target. It seems every time I approach someone with great looking hoisey, I get the same answer. "I found these at Target." Next time you need some flashy tights to add some pazazz to a skirt or dress, skip the overpriced boutique stores and head straight to the big T!

I was looking for a summer sweater and found this great baby pink Liz Clairborne at the Goodwill in Glendale. It was in mint condition and because it was discount Wednesday, instead of paying $4.99, it was marked down to $3.99!

GREAT SUMMER LOOKS FOR HOT SUMMER NIGHTS
This weekend my band L.A. Lyon did a two night gig at The Starting Gate in Los Alamitos. With California temperatures in the high 90s and a club packed with dancing people, it is bound to be warm. I saw some ladies that put together some outfits that looked great, while still letting them keep their cool!
This black and white dress looks really classy, but the light flowing material is great for moving around on the dance floor.
The black and white shorts and blouse combo with the white sandals is a great summer club outfit.
This look takes the great black summer shorts and adds a little glitter with the flashy pink top.

Rocking it onstage Saturday night, shown here with Eric and Tsugumi,my outfit was paid for by the tip jar, costing me $16.00! The skirt is a white denim Earl Jean that I found for $9.99 at Ross. The shirt is Rock Rose Classic with a Rolling Stones inspired lip print with black fringe. I found it at Goodwill in Pasadena for $5.99. Check out the brand new L.A.
